Acne is the number one cause of stress and low self esteem among teenagers. A recent survey conducted show that teens in the US are willing to spend nearly 275 dollars to never encounter acne.

acne medication manufacturers grinning elaborates that acne has been associated with anxiety, depression embarrassment and social dysfunction. Teenagers are willing to pay serious cash to never to encounter this skin disorder
Lead researcher of this project Dr Cynthia L. Chen, at the University of California, examined 266 teen volunteers with acne from four public high schools in San Francisco.The participants were given forms and questioners regarding how much of their lifetime they would give up or how much money they would pay to have never had acne, or to be acne free for the rest of their life.
The research also included the parents since the parents mostly bear the cost of treatment for children.
The study further proof the social un acceptance of acne specially among teenagers. this trend has been becoming bigger and bigger as time goes on.
