Chest Acne

Acne is a condition of inflammation of hair follicles and sebaceous glands. Acne is indicated by pimples, papules and pustules. Developing acne on chest is more painful and embarrassing then developing in any other region. There are various cause of acne in chest. It may be caused due to tight clothing, delayed washing habits, accumulation of sebum on chest, body cosmetics, certain types of body washes, cleansers, gels and lotions, allergic effect to clothing detergent etc.

Hair follicles and skin pores are more dense in chest skin than other areas. Therefore, the area is more exposed to secretion of sebum and sweat. Bacterial infection induces excessive production of sebum that clogs hair follicles. When hair follicles are clogged, bumps appear on your skin called whiteheads or blackheads. Detergents may cause allergic reaction that induces over production of sebum and irritates hair follicles and cause inflammation. Certain body washes and lotions contains harsh chemicals that irritates your skin badly. Therefore, getting cured from chest acne is a little troublesome. Avoid all types of harsh soaps, detergents and cosmetics. Avoid direct exposure to sun and use sunscreen.
