Salicylic Acid or Herbs

Hello Guys! How are you? You must be concerned about how to treat acne? Today one of my friend like you has asked about using salicylic acid for treating acne. She wanted to know whether she could use it or not as she had sensitive skin, if she can not use it than what is the effective natural remedy?

Let’s begin with Salicylic Acid!

Salicylic acid is a major component of today’s cosmetics and anti-acne remedies. Salicylic acid helps frequent sloughing off cells for the prevention from clogging hair follicles. As studies show clogged hair follicles due to plaque or shed of cells is the root cause of acne as sebum accumulates within hair follicles in this way. Therefore, salicylic acid a good substances to use for preventing of clogged hair follicles. But it matters when:

  • Your skin is sensitive

  • You are diabetic patient

  • You have poor blood circulation

  • Your are breastfeeding and pregnant women

  • You have kidney problem

  • You have skin infection and irritation

  • Taking certain medications which may interact with salicylic acid

So, you have read, though salicylic acid is effective, it imposes certain restrictions. Therefore, there must be some other natural remedies that are effective, easy to use and safe as well.

I always asked my friends to use natural remedies unless until your doctor prescribes any prescription medication. In general, herbs are effective enough for treating such type of acne. Therefore, choosing a good anti-acne remedy is difficult, but using proven and tested herbs is safe and effective.
