Is bread responsible for your acne?

Studies conducted by US scientist indicate that excess carbohydrate intake can trigger acne. So we can say that eating too much bread may cause acne in teenagers. The study states that refined grain and sugar in some bread can cause high levels of insulin which as we know from previous studies can cause acne. The research further indicates that low-carbohydrate diets can be helpful in reducing acne.

Colorado State University has come out with the report that suggests that carbohydrate diet specially bread can cause excessive insulin which in turn leads to an excess of male hormones, which encourage the skin to excrete large amounts of sebum. This sebum encourages the growth of bacteria which is responsible for acne. Thus cutting down on the source (bread) can be a vital move for your acne
