Sugar not good for Acne

Sugar is not good for our health and skin is no exception. The excess sugar goes deep inside the blood and causes problems like ageing, degenerative disease and damages other organs of the body. Sugar in the blood attaches itself to proteins, which is present in almost all the cells of the body and affects its functionality. The damage caused by excess glucose also affects the health of your skin because Collagen, which is an integral part of the skin, makes up about 40% of the body’s proteins and excess sugar affects its production. This makes your skin loose and wrinkled and affects the supply of essential nutrition and oxygen to the skin cells. People suffering through acne are greatly affected by excess sugar because they process sugar poorly compared to other people.

Sugar also slow downs our immune function. When we consume excess sugar the insulin production of the body increases causing an increase in the male hormones, which are responsible for increase, oil production and aggravates acne. If you are suffering from acne and are looking for a permanent solution, you might need to improve your diet. One easy way to reduce sugar intake is to eliminate all sweet beverages and foot items from your diet.
