Laser Acne treatment

Advancements in the field of science and technology takes place everyday. Laser acne treatment is a new way of curing acne in which unwanted tissues are removed from the skin with the help of a laser pen and concentrated light-beam that is moved all over acne affected areas.

Although claimed as a painless way of treating acne by many dermatologists, this treatment does have a number of side effects and disadvantages of its own.  The treatment leaves an irritating and painful feeling on the skin, which often does not go away for weeks. A person feels as if a rubber band is being snapped against their skin or it is being pierced with a warm needle. The heat transferred to the skin through the laser beam often makes the treated area swell, red, or inflamed at the end of the therapy and if proper care is not taken blistering is often observed. People who have a history of developing abnormal scarring may observe Permanent scars on their face after the treatment. Laser Acne treatment is not considered suitable for people having dark skin color because they may observe more painful results, which sometimes are more difficult to treat.
