Some dermatologists believe that milk can cause acne. They say that hormones present in the milk can make you vulnerable to acne. If you drink more than one glass of milk everyday, it’s usually recommended cut down on it and take other calcium alternatives.
It is also advised to avoid milk and dairy products from pregnant cows because this way we are consuming hormones produced by the cows’ pregnancy which are not suitable for us during our teenage and adult years. The hormones and bioactive molecules in cow’s milk are responsible for worsening acne condition. It has also been noticed that compared to men, women drinking milk are more associated with the risk of developing acne. The reason for this is that the hormonal constituents present in milk affects the hormonally sensitive glands of girls, which sometimes also results in breast cancer. According to a research people drinking three or more cups of milk a day are more vulnerable to acne compared to the ones who drink 1-2 cups a week.
