Acne which is a common occurrence among adolescents as well as older people can become quite a painful and irritable dilemma. The condition can appear on any part of the body, from the face, back, chest to thighs.



Acne around the inner thighs should be treated with care since the skin sensitivity around the area is greater than other parts of the body.

Some easy home based remedy includes firstly washing the affected parts with a soap containing properties to work on sensitive skin. The idea is to avoid scrubbing the acne around the thighs, instead it is recommended that hands be covered with lather of the soap. This should then be applied gently and spread onto the skin without rubbing the area. The lather can then be washed off with water. This method can be repeated regularly, twice a day.

The second step is to apply a cream that has a small concentration of benzoyl peroxide. This will work wonders in a short period of time without causing any painful swelling or soreness. After washing the thighs a very small amount should be applied directly onto the acne, moving the fingers gently until the cream has been completely immersed.

The third step involves the use of a moisturizer that is oil free. After application of the cream a minute quarter size amount should be applied and massaged softly around the thighs rotating the fingers back and forth. It is necessary that the moisturizer is not rubbed onto the acne since that will soon create redness and irritation. This step should also be repeated regularly once or twice a day.

Another means to avoid acne is to wear clothes that are not tight around the thighs. Tight clothing can cause skin irritability and therefore lead to acne. If the case is severe and the home acne treatment is not effective, a dermatologist should be consulted on the condition. Usually acne surgery is a good option to treat black heads or pimples around the thighs.
