If such treatment deems to be ineffective one should consult a dermatologist who can evaluate the skin condition and prescribe oral medication or stronger medication for acne. Accutane or isotretinoin is given for treatment when all other treatments do not work, the medication should be taken after careful consideration and consultation since the medication carries severe side effects such as tendency to harm oneself, complication of symptoms that develop in the digestive and nervous system.
